Diane Haughney, Adolescent Guide

Diane holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from The City University of New York, an M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College Graduate School of Languages in Madrid, Spain, and a B.A. in Hispanic Studies from Vassar College.  She taught political science at various universities including Johns Hopkins, Bucknell University, Xavier University, and Bates College where she also taught field courses in the Chilean Andes.  She taught Spanish and history at the high school level for many years.  She has wilderness training as well as many years of backpacking experiences, with groups and solo, in North American mountains and the Chilean Andes.
