Sarah then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from Syracuse University in 2011. She is excited to be working with students from each classroom to further support their reading development through data-driven literacy interventions.
Sarah lives in Cleveland with her husband, Tim, and their dog, Toby. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family, and exercising.
Tina holds a B.S. in Education/Early Childhood Education from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. She began her teaching career as a substitute teacher and tutor. In addition, she also held several administrative roles for Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company and a Canton country club.
Tina first learned about Montessori as a tutor in the Akron Public Schools. It is there she discovered and was intrigued by this method of teaching. As a result, she began her Primary Montessori training at the Ohio Montessori Training Institute in Cleveland in 1995. The Montessori School at Holy Rosary opened its doors the same year. Tina’s son, Andrew, was in that first preschool class. “He was my guide — as I was able to see in him all that I was being taught in training. The proof of the methods was right in front of me.”
Tina joined the staff as a Primary teacher in 1996 and, for the next ten years, loved the many challenges and rewards of guiding each child to meet his or her potential. In 2006, she accepted the greater challenge of guiding the school as Executive Director. She enjoys working with the dedicated and professional individuals who make up the staff. Currently she is also back in the classroom as one of the primary teachers.
Tina and her family have made Little Italy and the parish of Holy Rosary their home for over twenty years.
